A service of hymns, bible readings, psalms and prayer led by an Authorized Lay Minister will take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month during our period of vacancy.

Celebrate Mothers Day at a traditional church service in St. Nicolas'. The church is also open on Saturday 14th for private prayer, 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Daily from Sat 21st March to Sat 11th April.
Pick up a booklet at the entrance gate. This will lead you around 14 Stations of the Cross. At each station you can follow an easter reading, reflect on inspiring words and say a prayer.

At the end of the service the church is stripped, in silence, of altar cloths, silverware and other moveable items.

The Stations of the Cross have formed part of Christian devotion for many centuries because they offer a particularly vivid way of following in the steps of Jesus on the way to the Cross.
This will take place in the churchyard, or inside the church if the weather is unsuitable.

On Easter Sunday, churches will celebrate because Jesus died for our sins and then rose again.
