Baptisms

Baptisms, also known as Christenings, are held once every three months, in a special service on Saturday afternoon.  Typically, they are held on the first Saturday of March, June, September and December, although additional dates may be added in response to high demand.  Before your child's baptism, you will be expected to attend a preparation session, which will give you an introduction to the Christian faith, and let you know what to expect at the service.  It will also give you a chance to get to know the leadership team.

Baptism is a joyful occasion, when we not only thank God for the presence of a child in our lives, but welcome them into the family of the Church.  To find out more about baptism in the Church of England, why not visit the webpage dedicated to them at :

Adults who come to faith later in life may also be baptised, as long as they were not baptised as a child.  Please ask a member of the team about this.
