Meeting at 11am on Saturday 18th July at St. Thomas’ Church in Lydiate. We shall have a look around the church before starting our walk.

The walk will be just over 1.63 miles

As always, the walks are at your own risk, please wear suitable footwear. All walks have been risk assessed but please consider that you are physically able to complete the walk. Please also consider what equipment you may need for the walk.

We shall visit parts of Lydiate with great views.

Following the walk we shall have lunch at The Running Horses Pub in Lydiate.

Route
1. We start at St Thomas' Church in Lydiate we are able to have a look around/tour. Park in their car park.
2. We walk from the Church down Church Lane, we go through the fields. We end up on Altcar Lane.
3. Altcar Lane until another footpath. Footpaths through the field back to Mairscough Lane.
4. Mariscough Lane back to the Church.
5. From here back to the pub for lunch. We are eating at The Running Horses on Bell's Lane in Lydiate.
6. If you want to eat we can book a table please let Kath know.

Holy Trinity is a rural parish church in the village of Bickerstaffe in Lancashire, and part of a United Benefice with St Michael, Aughton. Our vision is to provide spiritual, pastoral and social support to all who live in the parish. We are a lively, friendly and welcoming church family who creatively provide both contemporary and traditional expressions of worship and ministry.
