Church of England Diocese of Liverpool Saint Helens Saint Andrew

St Andrews Dentons Green

We're a group of all kinds of people with all kinds of questions coming together to discover more about Jesus, each other and God's amazing plans for us and our world. As we continue to navigate the challenges of a global pandemic, we are exploring new ways of being church.

We are part of the Diocese of Liverpool and we join with all of the churches in our diocese in asking God to give us a Bigger Church to make a Bigger Difference in the world. We want to see more people knowing Jesus and more justice in all areas of life in St Helens the UK and throughout the world.

We know that God has created you with a unique part to play in his world and joining our community at St Andrews will support you in developing a Rule of Life that will help you to live out your one special, valued life. Together we are trying different ways to Pray, Read the Bible and Learn about our faith. We're encouraging each other to Tell others about Jesus, Serve each other in our community to make the world a better place and Give our time, talents and money to support the work of the church here and in the world.

The parish of St Helens Saint Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Why not come along and join us as church together and explore what it means to be disciples? We will feast on food, bible and community.

We meet in the church hall from 5pm for drinks, family crafts and a short reflection on our thought for the week just before we share food together at 5.30pm.

Our weekly reflection will be explored in more depth at our Thursday Bible Study and our Sunday morning gathering. We are currently following the Live Lent series.

Everyone is welcome, simply come as you are, or why not invite a friend? We will serve a simple meal and you can meet, chat, and perhaps lend a hand to setup or clear away. To cover the cost of the food we are suggesting a donation of £3-5 per person (kids eat free) and 10% of all donations will be shared with Christian Aid.
