St Thomas Eccleston
Liverpool
'Seeking to love God, one another and the community of which we are part'
Our church is open, with Parish Eucharist at 09:30am on Sundays, and church open from 09:00am.
During the current lockdown, a short service of Holy Communion is offered each Wednesday in the main body of the church. This is subject to change pending guidance on potential closures.
Please be aware, you will be asked to provide a contact name for you or your household and a contact number when attending any of the above services at this time.
Face coverings are required unless you are exempt:
When coming into church, please take your seat and avoid moving around the building or chatting to anyone outside your household.
When you take your seat, ensure that you do not sit with anyone directly in front of you.
We have added more pews to the seating area to make this possible, but please feel free to use the choir stalls as well.
There will be no processions on Sundays until further notice.
At the end of the service, after the blessing, the priest will not be at the back of church as you leave. Please do not be offended by this. The Altar is cleared by the priest only to avoid unnecessary movement and contact with Holy Vessels.
The Warden and Verger are aware of the limit on numbers for all services. Once the capacity for services or limit for funearls (30) is reached, they will not be able to allow any further access to Church. Again, please do not be offended, this is a requirement of law and in place for your safety.
Please leave church at the end of the service and do not linger in the gathering area or outside.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
