Posada means a hotel or inn in Spanish and is a way of celebrating Advent and bringing home to us the journey that the Holy Family had to make to Bethlehem prior to the birth of Jesus. This year beginning on the first Sunday in Advent (30th Nov) we will be celebrating Posada.

During the celebration which originated in South America a small Nativity travels around households in the community, staying at a different house each night.

Having visited families from other churches in the area, during the second week the nativity will visit families from
Christ Church Croft during week7th - 13th December
then having visited families from another church during the 3rd week will come to
Newchurch during week 21st -24th December finishing its journey at the Crib Service.
