An hour's worth of learning and activities which are linked to the services and readings taking place during the main Parish Communion service in Church, during term time only. Each session lasts for approximately 60 minutes. The parents/guardians of younger children are welcome to stay with their children for the first few weeks of their attendance or until they are settled.
Our Sunday School teachers plan and deliver the lessons each week. They are DBS checked by the Diocese of Manchester. If you are interested in volunteering please speak to a member of the Sunday School team.

The games club will meet from 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in Church Croft. Rummikub, Quiddler, dominoes, back gammon and lots more. Share our games or bring your own.

Nine Lessons and Carols is an English creation from the late nineteenth century, made widespread by the choir of King’s College, Cambridge, in the first half of the twentieth. It is a wonderful service and a great start to the week of Christmas. Our 'come and sing' choir will performing at this service.

Always a highlight of the Christmas season in Flixton. It will be taking place inside The Church Inn.

Our Mothers' Union meets at 2 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month, during term time only, inside Church Croft.

The Scratch Nativity is an unrehearsed telling of the Nativity story. Please come along prepared to play a part if you want to, come dressed as a shepherd, a sheep, a wise man or an angel. Come along to St Michael's and have a lot of fun retelling the greatest story ever told!

Our request carol service. Please come along and pick your favourite so that everyone can sing it. Don't forget to stay at the end, if you can, and you can attend our Midnight Mass service at 11.30 p.m.

Midnight Mass is a late-night service starts on Christmas Eve and ends just after midnight, so you're among the first to celebrate Christmas!

Our Parish Communion service on Christmas Day. Please come along to celebrate the birth day of Jesus before starting the rest of your Christmas traditions with your family and friends.

Our Poetry Group meets in The Church Inn at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, but during term time only.

Pub Church takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 8 p.m. The Church Inn pub is ideally located next door to St Michael's Church. Pub Church is a place to have a drink with friends (whether they be old or new), chat, have a laugh, and share in each other’s fellowship. Term time only.

Our all age service takes place on the first Sunday each month.

Our Walking Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month inside our church building at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us, whatever your level of mobility. There will be a shorter and longer walk on offer. Initially these will walks be from church, but hopefully in time we will go further afield in cars.
