Church of England Diocese of Manchester St. John the Baptist, Roughtown

Coronavirus Response

Updated 8/7/20

Worship has resumed with appropriate precautions - 9.30am Parish Communion at St John's, 11am Parish Eucharist at St George's.

Baptisms, weddings and funerals in church are now possible, with precautions in place - no more than 30 people are permitted to attend these services - this is a government regulation, regardless of the size of the venue. We are also privileged to be invited to lead funerals at local crematoria and cemeteries (where different restrictions and precautions may apply).

All other church services and events remain suspended. To view the latest guidance we are following, click here and our latest Risk Assessment is available below. Please DO NOT COME TO CHURCH IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS, OR ARE ISOLATING, VULNERABLE, OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYONE WITH SYMPTOMS ETC.

We are praying for all affected by this issue and seeking to do our part in the community response to care for the vulnerable.
