Church of England Diocese of Manchester Saint John the Evangelist, Wingates

St John's Wingates

Church Buildings Opening for Services: Our church is open for services each Sunday at 9.30 am.  We also have a second service on the first and third Sundays each month at 10.30 am aimed at families.

Please be aware that, to comply with social distancing measures, we have limited space. Please be understanding if we have not enough room to fit you in and we have to turn you away.

Please also be aware that it will be different! We ask that you respect the guidance given on arrival.

From 8 August face coverings must be worn by law by all those attending a place of worship, where there may be other people present; remembering that they are to protect other people, not the wearer, from coronavirus (COVID-19) and that they are not a replacement for social distancing and regular hand washing. Some people are exempt from this advice. Please check the Manchester Diocese website for details.

Anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 / Coronavirus must not attend. Those in a household where a member has symptoms of Covid-19 / Coronavirus must not attend. Those who have been asked to self-isolate as part of a contact tracing programme must not attend.

Please be aware that guidelines are changing all the time and all the details are subject to change at any time. Regular updates will be given on our parish pew sheet, websites and social media platforms along with other information.

Online Services:  We still plan to carry on providing the on-line services for a while yet so don't worry if you aren't able to get to church. Please see "News & Notices" for details of how to access the Sunday services on YouTube.

We are still here as a Christian presence to support our community at this difficult time; please do not hesitate to contact us if you we can offer you help and support at this time.

Please follow government guidelines and keep yourselves and families safe.

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you & keep you.
