Baby changing facilities are situated in the toilet area in the Parish room.

Our Building

The beautiful west window behind the altar are in memory of Florence Brookes, the centre window was given by her husband and the side windows by the Girls Friendly Society. The central figures, representing Faith, Hope and Charity are based on a window in the chapel of New College, Oxford, designed by the great painter Joshua Reynolds.

We are planning to re open for times of individual prayer.
At the moment we meet on Tuesday morning from 9.00 - 9.30am.

There has been a church ion this site since 1542. The present church is the third building and was built in 1828.

The church is opened every Tuesday morning from 9.00 to 11.30am (ish) Light snacks and homemade cakes are available with a selection of teas and coffee. We are a friendly group who enjoy a good chat. You can be assured of a warm welcome.
We are open on Wednesday mornings for a parent and toddler group from 10am to 11.30am.
There is a monthly Community lunch - usually on the first Thursday of the month. Lunch is served from 12 o'clock to 2pm
Our worship each Sunday begins at 11am. Refreshments are served after the service.

We are registered as an Eco church and are committed to developing our awareness of ways to maintain and improve God's beautiful world.


Music and Worship

We are looking forward to welcoming the Rossendale Male Voice Choir in March 2024 at the start of their celebrations for their 100 years birthday. Back in 1924 the choir held their very first concert in the church.

We have a working pipe organ which is used on most Sundays.

Groups, Courses and Activities

We aim to encourage young people and families to learn about Jesus through our regular Messy Church.

The 45th Rossendale, (St John's Crawshawbooth), Beavers meet every Tuesday at the Friendship Lodge, on Hill Street.

We are joining with the Rossendale team for this year's Lent Course. The meeting will be held on Zoom. For details and Zoom sign in details please contact Mike Black on 07825379645.

We hold a Community Cafe every Tuesday morning from 9am to 11.30 ish. Small snacks and delicious homemade cakes are available, as well as wonderful company.
Our Parent and Toddler group is held every Wednesday 10am to 11.30. We are a friendly group and generally have a great time together.
On the first Thursday of each month we host a community lunch. You do not need to be to be a member of the church family to attend. Please contact Laura on 01706 414361, in order to book a place.
We can guarantee a warm welcome.

Mothers Union

Little Angels, our Parent Toddler group runs every Wednesday in term time only, from 10 am to 11.30 am.

We have recently up graded our kitchen facilities.
We host a weekly Cafe on the hill on Tuesday, from 9.30-11.30am and a monthly Community Lunch.
We also hold regular social events.

FairTrade

We support our local food bank RAFT. We have a ‘Grubtub’ in the Parish room for on going donations, supplementing this with Harvest and Christmas gifts.

Audio-Visual Facilities
