St Michael's, Alnwick

St Michael’s seeks to be an open and inclusive church sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and serving the local community. To find our more about who we are, please click on the 'About Us' link on the left hand side.

You are very welcome to join us at one of our regular Worship Services. We have various services every Sunday, and at 10.15am on Wednesdays, as well as special and seasonal services which are listed here. We warmly invite you to join us, or simply to drop into the church and have a look round - we are open most days until 4pm.

Many couples choose to get married at St Michael's, or to have their child baptised (Christened) - please do contact us using the 'Get in touch' link for further information.

With origins in Saxon times, and handsomely rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries, St Michael’s Church is steeped in history. It is also one of the architectural gems of Northumberland.

The parish of Alnwick is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Patty Everitt, at [email protected]. Alternatively, please contact Jill Thirlaway, the Diocesan Safeguarding Caseworker using the link below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
