St John the Divine, Chevington is the parish church for the villages of North Broomhill, South Broomhill, Hadston and Red Row in Northumberland, UK.
The total cost of the roof and interior work is £12,775 and we still need to raise £10,000 to meet that target.
We hope that the people of our community may be able to spare a little money to help us with this project.The community relies on us for baptisms, weddings and funerals and we want to be able to keep St John's church in good order so that we can continue to serve the people.
We have a flat roofed extension which has our vestry and kitchen; the roof is old roofing felt which has now completely failed and rain water runs into the interior rooms whenever the weather is bad.
