Our priest in charge is Revd Rachael Dines, [email protected], phone 01665 497631, mobile 07763 211901.

Other people to contact can be found on our who's who page.

VISITING US

St John's church is usually open between 10am and 4pm daily. Please drop in and see our beautiful church.

Unfortunately car parking is limited and on Woodside Road by the main gate into the churchyard; if you come by car, please be considerate of other road users and park carefully.

Our churchyard has been closed for burials for many years and is maintained by Northumberland County Council with a large area left for wildlife. We have a willow circle in the churchyard, with seating, visitors are very welcome to come and sit there and enjoy the peace of the location.

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) - Sheila Orgill.

Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Sheila Orgill (01670 761825).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
