Coffee Morning in Church

Coffee morning - The monthly coffee morning in St Mary’s Church will be held on the 3rd Tuesday from 10.30am to 12 noon.

The monthly church lottery will be drawn about 11.30am. Everyone will be most welcome to come along for coffee, tea, home-made cake and chat.

While our bells are still away having new headstocks and fittings, we continue Wednesday practices 7.30 - 9pm at nearby churches with their very kind permissions. All are welcome to come along and see what goes on or if a ringer, join in.

With the bells not now expected back until mid-February 2026, a rota for practice towers in January and February is still being assembled! Phone 01327 871806 for latest news.

Making Christingles

We shall be converting 50 oranges into Christingles in church. Come and help to spear the sweets and apply ribbons.

The most popular of the special Christmas services, welcomed by villagers and returning families even more so, led this year by Susan Rose.

Holy Communion will be celebrated, using the Common Worship format, on Christmas Day morning by our villager, the Revd Greg Shaw.

MORNING WORSHIP

Now that we are in an interregnum, this service will be led by a lay member of the benefice - usually Susan Rose on one Sunday and shared by others in the team on the other Sunday.

During the interregnum, with thanks to the Revd Greg Shaw (and Revd Celia Parkes in January 2026, the Revd Dr Mark Betson in February 2026), we are maintaining a regular monthly celebration of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month. We use the Common Worship format for the service with hymns. We look forward to those who attend stopping for coffee and chat afterwards.

This short service is held once a month usually on the Tuesday evening following the third Sunday at St Mary’s Badby at 6.30pm. In December it is moved a week forward to avoid the Christmas busy period.

There is always a brief talk about someone inspirational.
