Badby bells are coming back!
- Occurring
- for 4 days, 4 hours
- Venue
- St Mary, Badby
- Address Church Hill Badby Daventry, NN11 3AR, United Kingdom
Our bells are expected back, at last, on Monday. 2 March 2026.
It will take the professional bellhanger and a gang of volunteers, from the village and bellringers from elsewhere, the whole week to hoist the bells up the tower and complete all the fittings.
The clock chime hammers will be the last item to fit. So the clock can then start again to chime every quarter hour for the first time since striking noon on 16 June 2025.
Listen out for the distinctive sound of chain hoists rubbing on the sound bow of the bells! Hopefully a CCTV monitor in the church will be showing work when in progress at the top of the tower.
See progress reports on the work so far starting from "MORE INFO" button below.
