Come along for another session of Messy Church! This time, we will be exploring the Harvest festival with family-friendly activities like arts and crafts, music and stories. We will be thinking about times when food appeared in the Bible and giving thanks for all the ways we enjoy food in our lives.

Said Mass: A Communion Service at St Mary's using the words from the Book of Common Prayer. Please note that the wearing of Face Coverings in Church is now ‘optional’. There are seats set apart in the Church for those who wish to keep space between them and others. Please continue to respect one another and be sensitive to others needs.

During this Sunday service, we will be giving thanks for the food we have been given and all those who work to produce it. Recognising the gifts we have received, we invite you to bring food to donate to the Roberts Centre (preferably non-perishable and reflecting the taste and quality you would expect to use in your own home), make a financial donation to the work of Kitchen of Hope, or making a commitment that will support our life as a Christian community.

Join us for a traditional Barn Dance! To celebrate the harvest season, we are welcoming a traditional folk band back into the church to teach us some new dances. All ages and abilities are welcome to come along, the emphasis is on dancing together rather than dancing perfectly!

Following the barn dance, we will have a Ploughman's Supper. As we celebrate the Harvest Season, it is good that we take the time to be thankful for the food on our plates and our local community.

As we celebrate the life of St Faith, we will also be celebrating the life of St Faith's Church. Join us, and guest preacher Rev. Alex Coakley-Youngs (Team Vicar of Harbour Church at All Saints), as we mark St Faith's patronal mass. The service will be followed by refreshments

Do you want to know more about the climate crisis? Would you like to know what we can do to combat it? Across the UK, the "People's Emergency Briefing" is being screened to raise awareness of the climate emergency. Fronted by celebrities like Chris Packham and Deborah Meaden, this film brings to life the testimony of 9 leading UK experts to show why this matters.

After the film, there will be the opportunity to talk to members of your local community to discuss the film and how we can respond locally and nationally.
