Getting here

WHITELEY CHURCH is a modern church that now currently meets in the local Community Centre at Gull Coppice. The church has a piece of land near the shopping centre where we hope to eventually be able to build a permanent premises but for now the land is used as a quiet green garden space - our Church Without Walls - for the community to use as a place for prayer and reflection.

We are a church that welcomes families and we have dedicated leaders in the Little Fishes (<6) & Dolphins (6>) Sunday School groups (currently combined), which meet during the second, third and fourth morning Sunday services and we have a small youth group for those of secondary school age that meet for a home social and during two of the morning services. We also have a playmat and various toys available within church for younger children who wish to stay in the service. Our services range through Messy Church (on the first Sunday of the month at 4.00pm), two Communion services (on the second and fourth Sundays on the month at 10.15am) and Breakfast Church (on the third Sunday of the month).

We are a church that likes food, and so alongside providing a continental breakfast at our third Sunday Breakfast Church service, and supper at our first Sunday Messy Church service we also also have our Open Door Café which meets in the community centre on Tuesday mornings (term time only) for refreshments and the occasional slice of cake and our social/fellowship events will often be a wonderful excuse to share a picnic, lunch or tea and cake together. Whiteley Church enjoys many social activities which they share with the community. Our aim is to ‘Create a Community with the Love of God at its Heart’.
