NEW - A return to in-person worship in our Church buildings
We are delighted to have resumed worship in our church buildings, with social distancing measures in place and with everyone wearing a face covering. Please take a moment to read our Covid safety guidance on attending worship. Please keep an eye on the Services and Events page of this website for details of our forthcoming services.
Our most recent Sunday Services will be available on the Watch a Service page of this website, and the most recent Children's Service will be available on the Children and Families page. Meanwhile all our online services can be accessed directly from our YouTube Channel.
Our main Sunday morning service is at 10am. These services take place for six months of the year in St Luke's, Chiddingstone Causeway and then move to St Mary's, Chiddingstone for the next six months, rotating as follows:
From Harvest until the following Easter: 10am Sunday services are held in St Luke's, Chiddingstone Causeway
From Easter Day until Harvest: 10am Sunday services are held in St Mary's, Chiddingstone
Our 10am services are a mixture of Communion services and Matins. Please check the Services and events page for details.
Our new children's group, Discoverers, is for children under 12 and would normally run during the main 10am Sunday morning service on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Children normally come into church for the first hymn and then go to their group, returning to church for the communion so they can have a blessing at the rail with their families.
We play games, have a story, and do some craft or drama - but most of all, we have fun together. Please come and check us out - all welcome!
***** Since the Coronavirus lockdown, Discoverers has gone online and continues in this way for the time-being. You can access the recording every second and fourth Sunday of the month from 6am via the Children and Families page of this website, or directly from our YouTube channel *****
Our 4pm Family Service
On the first Sunday of each month, there is a Family Service at 4pm (rotating between churches on a six-monthly basis in the opposite church to the main 10am Service, ie when the morning service is at St Mary's, the 4pm service the same day will be at St Luke's and vice versa). We come together in church for a short child-friendly half an hour service with the children taking an active part. This is usually followed by refreshments and craft activities.
Our Toddler Services are currently suspended due to Covid restrictions but, in more 'normal' times, they usually take place on the first Thursday of the month from 9am until 10.15am in the Parish Room (adjacent to St Luke's Church, Chiddingstone Causeway). All pre-school children are welcome. Please contact Carol Benton on 01892 870483 for further information.
The congregation is very friendly and loves to welcome new-comers. Please come along and find out more about us - we'd love to meet you.
We are also on Facebook - please come and 'like' us!
The Electoral Roll is a register of those entitled to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. All baptised adults (over the age of 16) who live in the parishes, or who have worshipped regularly in the parishes for at least six months, are welcome to join.
