As we approach ordination weekend, in Start the Month for July Bishop Paul and Sarah give thanks for the new callings on the lives of the candidates being ordained, offered in love in response to Jesus. Drawing from the book of Song of Songs, a love poem from a couple expressing their devotion to one another, Bishop Paul and Sarah reflect on how this story is fulfilled through the relationship of Christ to his bride, the Church. Through his devotion to us, we are reminded of how his love can reshape and reform our desires and ambition as each of us responds to Jesus’ call on our lives.Watch the message here: https://youtu.be/6BZxMmCpgbsWe invite you to join us this month in praying for those who are being ordained and in the parishes they are serving, and for one another as we seek to follow God’s call on our lives. Gringley on the Hill is a village in North Nottinghamshire whose origins can be traced back thousands of years. This website records the activities of the Club through pictures and articles. Our active Club holds regular meetings, has published books and maps and other materials, and attempts to record and present items of historical interest to the village. The club has also completed the work of a 'Churchyard Recording Project' which lists all known gravestones and their location, so if you are looking for a forebear, this is the place to start!
