It is clear that our Junior Church is thriving and that we would all like to see it continue and grow in a similar pattern to the present one. We need your help to do this.
Plea 1: Please will all parents consider becoming a official Junior Church Helper? This will enable us to manage the growing numbers at Junior Church safely and mean parents can feel safe to leave their children in the session and join the service in the main church if they wish.
Plea 2: Consider if you could step up to be a Leader for Junior Church? The more leaders we have, the less sessions each has to plan and lead. As Charlie said at the service this morning, you do not have to be an expert in the Christian faith to do this... you will learn alongside the children, and you can lead activities in a way that suits you and your interests. We have resources to support you and the leaders group share ideas and help each other out.Plea 3: Are you good at organising and bringing people together? If so, could you be a Junior Church coordinator? Charlie did this alongside leading Junior Church but it could be a standalone role for someone who is just good at connecting people and communicating well (we will gladly adapt the role description and requirements in this case)
All three of these have a role description and an application form (see attachments). Please email applications to [email protected] as soon as possible. This allows us to get all the required training, induction and checks done so we can be up and running in September.
We will be organising a leaders meeting over the summer to get the programme sorted so the sooner we know who we've got the better we can plan. If you have questions about any of the roles do get in touch with me or one of the other JC leaders (Megan Barford, Joanne Bhanji, Vanessa Stewart).
Thank you for being such a valued part of our church community, have a wonderful summer and I hope to hear from you soon.
Blessings,
Revd. AbbiePriest-in-Charge
