Alison says:
"Hello! I’m Alison, and I’m really excited to be joining you in July. I’m married to Lee and have two amazing children, Jay and Maeve. We also have a cockapoo dog called Dolly who is utterly bonkers!
I’m Huddersfield born and bred, originally from the Lepton area. I studied music at Huddersfield University, and had a career with ITV making TV programmes, before my husband and I set up our own computer business in Kirkheaton.
Shortly after the COVID lockdown I realised that God was calling me to priestly ministry. What a mid-life crisis to have! I have had an amazing few years studying at St. Hild (based at Mirfield) and am delighted to come to Lindley for my curacy, to learn and benefit from Revd Abbie’s experience and wisdom.
I have a love for families ministry, and making worship and our church family life accessible and inclusive to all, so more people can encounter Jesus and his transformative presence in their life. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all, hearing your stories, sharing in worship and getting out and about, serving the community alongside you."
Please pray for Alison, Lee, Jay, Maeve and Dolly as they prepare to shift their lives to Lindley with Alison in this new role.
Blessings, Abbie
