Weekly Said Eucharist every Tuesday morning with short homily and refreshments served afterwards.
On the 1st Tuesday of the month this service is a traditional service according to the Book of Common Prayer.

Short quiet service with no music but with familiar words and a sermon.

Service of the word - First Sunday of the month (except school holidays).
A more relaxed service with additional worshipper involvement .
Welcoming all ages.

Enjoy a cooked meal during this sociable event. You don't need to be a regular church goer, any one living in the area and looking for company is welcome. Cost £8 (Feb 2024)

Parish lunches usually take place on the second Thursday of the month starting at 12.30pm. You must pre-book your place via our Parish Administrator - Brenda, either by email at [email protected] or via telephone on 01484 970555 (office hours: Mon-Wed 9.30-11.30am). Brenda will need both your name and any dietary requirements.

Numbers are limited to 40 people and the booking deadline is usually Monday of the week before the lunch (ie 10 days before).

A series of walks will take place between all the Church of England churches in the Huddersfield Deanery over 4 days. This is a prayer walk/pilgrimage during the Thy Kingdom come season. St Stephen’s is on the route on Wednesday 15th May which starts at Christ Church Woodhouse (9:00), then visits St Hilda’s Cowcliffe (10:10), St Cuthberts Birkby (11:00), HRI chapel (12:00), St Stephen’s (12.40-12.50), final stop St Philip’s Birchencliffe (13:15)– bring & share lunch.
