Celebrating the Birth of Jesus in the First Mass of the Christmas Season
The first Mass of the Christmas season, often referred to as the Midnight Mass or Christmas Vigil, is a significant event in the Christian liturgical calendar. It marks the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and is filled with rich traditions and spiritual significance. The first Mass of the Christmas season is a profound celebration that not only honours the birth of Jesus but also fosters a sense of unity and joy among believers. It is a time to reflect on the significance of Christ's arrival and to embrace the spirit of love and hope that His birth represents.

St Paul's Monk Bretton

A very warm welcome to the website of Saint Paul's Monk Bretton which we hope you will find a useful resource as you browse through its contents which include details of contacts, personnel, activities and the general history and  faith life of our Christian community.

Our Sunday services are generally traditional in nature with hymns accompanied on the organ. Weekday services are usually spoken. Children are welcome at our services and we have activity packs available.

Refreshments are available in the Parish Centre following our Sunday and Thursday services.

We are always looking for new congregation members as well as volunteers able to help on a regular or occasional basis. We have a regular Men's Working Group which perform maintenance tasks around the church every Wednesday between 10:30 and 12:30. We would also welcome new members for our choir and bell-ringing team
