Church of England Diocese of Leeds Ravensthorpe and Thornhill Lees with Savile Town

St Saviour

Welcome to St Saviour's Ravensthorpe. Our parish also covers Thornhill Lees and Savile Town. Come and visit us - we hope you will find we are a friendly bunch with a deep love of Our Lord and commitment to each other and our neighbourhood. We have kept together during the pandemic and are keen to build our future with confidence.

Measures are in place to keep you safe as we come out of Covid-19 restrictions, and we ask for your co-operation in observing them. There are people on hand to help you with them.

Please see our separate page on Safeguarding.

We are open again for public worship on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6.30 p.m. (church open for private prayer from 5.30 p.m.)

All services (including extra masses on Thursdays and Saturdays at 12 noon) continue to be streamed on our 'Savvylove' Facebook Group page (replacing 'Saviour's Love' which has been hijacked!)

We have changed our practices slightly following the Government's roadmap change on 19th July, 2021. Our plan is one of caution and keeping each other safe: we request that facemasks continue to be worn when moving about the church but it is your decision whether to wear them once in a pew. Please sanitise your hands on entry and leaving the building and before receiving holy communion in one kind (i.e. the consecrated bread). The Exchange of Peace continues to be at a distance. We indicate which pews are available for use to keep you one metre distant from others. Apart from that we remain the happy and holy people of God!

Now open - every Thursday 2-4 p.m. alternating between Ravensthorpe and Thornhill Lees - see our article.
