Church of England Diocese of Leeds Ravensthorpe and Thornhill Lees with Savile Town

Parish Mass St Saviour 10 am Sunday

10 am Sunday Parish Mass - after the Lockdown  - from 6th December 2020

We are pleased to reopen and offer public worship on Sunday mornings. We seek to worship God in the beauty of holiness using time-honoured traditions of ritual, thoughtful (and brief!) homilies, and praying for our community at this difficult time. We are a friendly bunch, delighted to be back together in church - and you are very welcome to join us.

It is important that everyone is safe in church: under current Covid-19 restrictions about distancing we are able to offer public worship with 21 people/'bubble groups' attending. We currently are not permitted to sing, exchange the peace with physical touching, and receive holy communion in one kind (the bread) only. Nor alas can we have coffee afterwards - and no raffle!

Having said all that, our experience of worship is that it is dignified, prayerful and sustaining.

NB - Should the number wishing to attend exceed what is safe - our priest, Fr George, will repeat the service again at 11 a.m. This will be managed by Anne, our secretary at the welcome desk.

All services are live-streamed on our Facebook Group page "Saviour's Love" with reflections and other devotional material.
