Lighting Project Completed

Back in 2019 St Saviour's Parochial Church Council (PCC) agreed to undertake a project to install new lighting in the church, with a rewire. Following consultation with our architect, Tony Lightowler, a scheme was agreed, and negotiations began with the Diocesan Advisor Committee (DAC) for the necessary permissions.

Specialist input, securing a contractor, a national pandemic and several scaffolding towers later, the project is now complete.

Some of us have been amazed to see carving to the roof boards which previously were hidden in the gloom. Reading hymns and service material in the pews is now a lot easier, and the lighting can be adjusted to create atmosphere to times of silent prayer or the family liturgy.

Thanks to Tony, the PCC, Lisa at the DAC and Alectrifix (contractors) for seeing this through.
