Our Minister greatly enjoys leading an assembly at Sark School during term time, the children seem to enjoy it too!
This is often followed by a meeting with the Head of School

David has Monday's as his rest day, but if there is a pastoral need please do not hesitate to ring. Sometimes he will, however be off island.

Our regular Holy Communion service at St Peter's led by our Island Minister, Revd. David Stolton

David and Alison are taking a holiday for a family celebration. During this time any pastoral concerns should be directed to the Stewards or Wardens, or to The Superintendent Minister or Dean.

Our second Sunday services at Chapel are often led by our Local Preacher, Lorraine, the 4th Sunday and all other services by our Island Minister David. All are welcome and we serve coffee after the service.

Our monthly communion service at the Methodist Church, in Methodist tradition, may be from the standard Methodist liturgy ( The Worship Book) or may be a less formal, more intimate service, this varies from month to month. It is usually led by our Island Minister, David. All are welcome at the Lord's table and to join us for coffee after the service.

Our annual main Christmas service for the community will be at St Peter's at 5 pm. All are welcome.

This quiet time of preparation and worship to celebrate the birth of Christ is a meditative yet celebratory service with communion, to which all are invited

Our regular Matins service, led by our Island Minister, Revd. David Stolton, with choir and sermon and some sung responses, is usually held on the fourth Sunday of each month. All are welcome, especially singers!

Our morning Good Friday service is a short, quite time of reflection for this special day, allowing time to get to Sark's traditional Duck Pond good friday event

Our Good Friday Vigil at St Peter's from 2 pm until approximately 3 pm is a quiet time of music, silence, poetry and word.

Our popular Sunrise communion service will take place at the Collinette at 6.30 am. This is usually followed by breakfast but this will be announced nearer the time

We celebrate Easter with a special family communion service at the Methodist Church at 11.15 am. All are welcome.

Although Sark Methodist Church was built in 1796, 100 years ago, due to complaints by neighbours that the singing on Sundays was too loud, the chapel was moved, stone by stone to its current site. We are having a special celebration weekend culminating in this service to which special guests have been invited. The exact time of service will be announced when boat timetables etc are available, to allow those visiting to be part of this celebration

The Methodist Church requires its Ministers to take a Sabbatical in every 7th year, a time of reflection, a break from normal work," recharging batteries" family time and undertaking a project. Arrangements have yet to be finalised, but David will be taking this after Easter for 3 months, but returning for a few days for the centenary celebration at Chapel on 26th April. During this time there will be a group to manage services, pastoral concerns and administration and the Dean and Methodist Superintendent will be available ( when not on leave or off island themselves)
