About Us

St Anne's Parish Church in the Town Centre is an impressive, Georgian building that has been a focus for worship since 1748. It is the home of a large, friendly and diverse group of Christians. We aim to be
* a warm and accepting community,
* child friendly,
* vibrant, reflective and relevant in worship,
* open to change,
* thoughtful in our faith,
* serving the wider world.

Sunday worship normally lasts just over an hour starting at 9.30 am. Music is important to us and is usually a mix of traditional and contemporary. Children and Young People will often meet in their own groups and join with adults for Communion.

On the first Sunday of each month we join with the other 3 churches in the Benefice for Holy Communion at 10.30 am.  The location rotates round the churches - for details see our website.

The building is open during the week, Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 2pm, for people to call in for refreshment, to browse the Traidcraft stall or just for peace & quiet or for a chat.
