The Parish Eucharist

Every Sunday at 10 a.m. for 1hr

St Chad's Church,
Campleshon Road

A traditional style parish communion with hymns and an organ.

This a sung Holy Communion, including all the usual readings, prayers and sermon and lasts for about an hour. Although parts of the communion service are sung, they are easy to follow. Worshippers from all denominations who take communion at their own church are most welcome to share communion here. Alternatively, they may come to the communion rail for a blessing, keeping their hands down to signify this preference. No collection is made during the service, but an offertory plate is available before and after the service. Refreshments are available after the service, with a chance to socialise and chat. Children are very welcome in the service, and there is a children's area where they can play whilst their carers participate in the service. A blessing is offered to the children at the communion rail unless they have been admitted to communion or are visiting children who are used to receiving the bread and wine at their usual churches.

There is also the 4.15 service every Sunday afternoon. An informal, interactive and creative worship with modern music and a band followed by a free hot meal. Perfect for families or for those looking for a less formal style of worship. First Sunday of the month includes communion.
