September/October time is traditionally when we celebrate the Harvest and all who are involved with growing the crops, preparing the food that arrives on our table and remember those in other parts of the world who are less fortunate than us. In a year when prices have risen and the weather has badly affected farmers and their crops, we give thanks to the local farming community, to local food producers, to local shop keepers – all battling against the odds.

At our 10.00 family service on Sunday 27th September we are inviting everyone to join us in celebrating the harvest. We will be remembering all those involved in bringing food to our table; all those growing their own in gardens and allotments. We will remember those amongst our communities who are struggling to make ends meet – the foodbanks, the pantry in the porch initiatives set up to support those suffering a cost of living crisis – and those countries suffering from famine and drought.

Whether you worship with us regularly, occasionally or never been to church before, make 27th September a date to come and sing, pray and give thanks! And there’s always refreshments afterwards!
