Wednesday morning coffee and chat at St Mary’s church has a new name for 2024 but offers the same warm welcome! On the first Wednesday of every month from 10:00 until 12:00. everyone is warmly welcome to come and it’s a great place to meet up with old friends and make new ones. (Use the door opposite the war memorial, and come into church, and refreshments are served in the meeting room at the back of church in what we call the West End!)We also have a Knit and Natter group that meets regularly at these mornings. Whether a novice or an expert, you are welcome to join in!If you are a regular, or if you have moved into the village recently, you are very welcome Here are some dates for your diary:1st May, 5th June, 3rd July
What started out as a parade during COVID to connect the village with some Christmas joy has developed into a real village community annual event with the addition of the market stalls promoting local businesses. So proud and grateful for the hard work of the committee who make this all happen. Please come and support the event. The parade begins at the High School at 16:00 and processes through the village centre, finishing at the playing fields on Gandish Road where all the market stall holders and food sellers will be, together with a special visitor!St Mary's is extremely grateful that all profits are being donated to the church roof repair fund.
For those children living in the village and wanting to take part, they can come to church each Friday during the summer holidays between 4 and 6pm. There are medals to be won!<br>
East Bergholt and Brantham churches have collaborated and shared a Rector for over 20 years. They are now being joined by St Marys' in Bentley and Tattingstone after a reorganisation of local churches. The position of Rector is being advertised during June and hopefully interviews will take place in July.In the meantime we are enjoying learning to worship, plan and work together.
