Shoeboxes A huge thank you to everyone who provided items for the shoeboxes or who managed to fill a shoebox themselves. We were able to send off 70 boxes this week – many thanks to Jane Foulds for dealing with them. Also another 56 have arrived from the Junior School! This is a tremendous and much – appreciated effort!

Remembrance Sunday is on 14th November. We will have an 8.00am service with an act of Remembrance, Mustard Tree Church at 9.30am, and the later service will be outdoors at the front of church from 10.45am. The front drive will be blocked off from 10.00am so access to the church will be by foot only.

If you are coming to the 10.45am service please bring a chair!

We hope to livestream this service – we will confirm next week.

There is also a service at Ringland at 10.45am. Please consider coming to this if you do not wish to be outdoors.

2022 Giving envelopes many people have moved to electronic standing orders for their regular giving to the ministry at St Ed’s and St Peter’s. This is a far easier method of giving. If you would like to continue to use envelopes, please speak to Granville.

Confirmation Bishop Graham will be coming to St Ed’s for a Confirmation service on Sunday 21st November at 3pm. If you would like to be Confirmed or would like to know more, please speak to Rev Paul.

Church Green (also known as ‘the Glebe’) – at the front of St Ed’s – is now closed for parking as we approach the winter months to protect the surface. There are a few spaces in the church drive. Alternative parking will be available on the field side of the Junior School and on the lay –by opposite the school.

Reading in church session Rev Phil is leading a session for all those who read or would like to read in church. Sign up sheet at the back of St Ed’s.

St Ed’s Christmas Fair We are planning for the return of this special event on 27th November from midday to 3pm, some things in church and some outside. We will need helpers so please volunteer to Sue Beevor or Sue Elmes – help for an hour or longer if you can.

Also we will be grateful for tombola/ raffle prizes and cakes etc.

Nativity Displays at Ringland in the week leading up to Christmas will have a display of Nativity sets. If you have a set to loan please speak to Rev Paul or Sue Beverley. We will be decorating St Peter’s on Saturday 18th December ready for the display to open on Sunday 19th.
