The church is open every day as usual, but for longer and there are prayers that can be used and taken away, and condolence sheets for messages. Flowers can be left at the war memorial near the door at St Eds. Archdeacon’s visit our Archdeacon, Ven Keith James, will be visiting us on 18th September. We hope this will be a joyful celebration and affirmation of our life and ministry at St Ed’s and St Peter’s. Ven Keith will be pleased to meet members of our congregation and to join with us in our worship that day.Rev Gill Osborne has been Licensed by Bishop Graham. We will be collecting Christmas Shoeboxes as part of the Blythswood appeal. Shoeboxes are sent to people of different ages in the poorest parts Eastern Europe and beyond for Christmas. The boxes are filled with a variety of items to bring warmth and cheer to people who have very little. The shoe boxes have a wonderful impact on the lives of their recipients. We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty the Queen at Balmoral on 8th September 2022. We are grateful for her loyal service to our country and the Commonwealth for just over 70 years. We are also deeply grateful for her life of service and her incredible Christian witness. Her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ was a wonderful witness and the bedrock of her life.St Edmund’s church is open each day if you wish to come for a time of private prayer, reflection and remembrance. St Peter’s church Ringland is also open. If you wish to lay flowers in memory of the Queen they can be placed outside the church by the war memorial.
