Church of England Diocese of Leicester The Holy Apostles Leicester

Our Mission

Our mission is “To know and worship God - to love our neighbours - to make disciples together in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit"

We do this by supporting our community near and far in many different ways. We pray walk and visit local people and businesses. Members of our congregation are governors in local schools, some of us visit local primary schools to take assemblies and help with reading. We also welcome the local primary schools into the church building for visits throughout the year.

We support many charities near and far and support local community groups.

We provide volunteers at our local food bank, baby basics a charity supporting new mums, Safe Families for children a charity that offers early intervention for families in crisis, "Saffires" a charity that works with women in the sex industry in Leicester, Sound Café  which provides a safe creative space for people who are homeless, socially isolated or living in vulnerable in Leicester and Leicestershire, One Roof Leicester which provided  and support for people who are homeless, destitute, refugees and asylum seekers in Leicester.

We give financial support to these local charities Leicester Street Pastors, One Roof Leicester Sound cafe.

We collect items for the food bank and baby basics.

We give money to these international charities :- Iris Global a charity that works with street children in Brazil, Green Pastures Hospital, Nepal and Christian Aid.

We pray regularly for all of the above, all of the streets in out parish, and all local churches.
