Monday 18th Jan

Samaritans Brew Monday will kick off on 18 January, the third Monday in January, which is usually known as ‘Blue Monday’.

Reach out to a friend, family member or colleague for a virtual cuppa and a chat. It doesn’t have to be a Monday or a cup of tea, just taking time to really listen to another person could help them work through what’s on their mind.

Because now more than ever, sharing a cuppa is more than a drink – it's about reaching out, checking in and staying connected.

Tuesday 19th Jan

soul moments.
At some point this week when it is raining (and not too windy), wrap up warm and step outside with an umbrella. Stop, you are not going anywhere just stand in the rain under the umbrella and listen. Just for a few minutes, stop thinking and just really focus in on the sound of the rain drumming down on the umbrella.

These small moments are soul moments they are good for our wellbeing.

"STOP, LISTEN, REALLY LISTEN, wellbeing"

Prayer.

Heavenly Father, we pray for those who face or are facing evacuation

from their homes because of flooding. Help them to find welcome places to rest

and take stock of all that has happened to them. Give them peace in the midst

of turmoil and strength to meet the forthcoming challenges. Protect all those involved

in dealing with the floods and snow. Amen.
