Following the New Year’s tragedy in Crans-Montana that has shocked our nation, a national day of mourning has been declared for Friday, 09 January.

Any and all are welcome to gather at the Villars English Church for a short service of prayer and remembrance beginning at 13:45. We will then participate in the national ringing of the bells at 14:00. Space for private prayer and silence will follow afterwards.

During this tragic time we hold in our prayers all who have died, the injured victims and their families, and all those who have worked to save lives. Our church community is spread around the world, so wherever you are please do be praying during this difficult time.

Welcome to the Villars English Church, an international English-speaking congregation in the alpine village of Villars-sur-Ollon since 1883. We meet in the Aiglon Chapel located in the centre of the village and serve the area's international communities as a space of regular prayer and community.
