From 1 June 2021, for the first time since lockdown, we will be holding regular Sunday services of worship at St Helen's. Precautions to minimise risk of coronavirus transmission will continue to remain in place (hand sanitisation; face coverings; distancing). Resumption of Public Worship in the Benefice of St Mary's, Chalgrove and St Helen's, Berrick Salome from 18 April 2021From 18 April 2021, as a step on the way back towards weekly worship in each parish (hopefully in June), we resume a limited pattern of public worship across the benefice. This will involve no more than one indoor service on any Sunday. Services start at 10am and take the form of a short Holy Communion. We will broadcast some of our services for those who must continue to shield or who are not yet ready to venture out. Instead of the usual indoor service of Holy Communion, we celebrated Easter differently this year with a short Family Service held in the Churchyard, during which Father Michael blessed the beautiful Easter gardens made by members of our village community - click here to see photos of the gardens.The service was followed by an Easter Treasure Hunt with a total of fifty five adults and children joining in the fun. Our thanks go to all those responsible for putting together the 'cryptic clues' and organising this event! It was a great way to catch up in the glorious sunshine after such a long time.
