Sunday 4th October 2026

This Sunday we celebrate Harvest at St John’s — always one of the loveliest Sundays of the year, as we give thanks for God’s goodness and for all that sustains and nourishes us.

Revd Mark will be leading our All-Age Harvest Service, so this is a particularly good Sunday to bring children, grandchildren, friends and neighbours along. There will be something for everyone as we worship together and reflect on what Harvest asks of us — not only gratitude for what we have received, but how that gratitude might shape the way we live.

We’re also inviting everyone who can to bring food produce for Woodley Food Bank. Tins, packets and other suitable non-perishable items will be gratefully received and passed on to support local people and families.

For those who would like to receive Holy Communion beforehand, our usual 9.00am traditional BCP Holy Communion service will also take place.

So come and celebrate Harvest with us — bring the family, bring a friend, and, if you can, bring something for the Food Bank too. It should be a joyful morning together.

Every blessing,

Revd Mark
