Sunday 18th October 2026
This Sunday we mark the Festival of St Luke, and Revd Richard will be leading our worship.
Our readings bring together words of hope and healing from Isaiah with Jesus sending out the seventy-two in Luke’s Gospel — carrying peace, proclaiming that God’s kingdom has come near, and bringing healing along the way.
Luke is traditionally remembered as a physician as well as an evangelist, and that gives this festival a particular richness. His Gospel pays close attention to those who are vulnerable, suffering or overlooked, and again and again shows us the compassion and healing presence of Christ.
Do join us as we gather for worship, give thanks for the witness of St Luke, and reflect on the good news of a God who comes near to heal, restore and bring hope.
Every blessing,
Revd. Mark
