FuneralsWe have lost two very much-loved members of our churches recently – both Audreys.The funeral service for Audrey Downs will be on Monday July 13th in Knightley churchyard.The funeral service for Audrey Newsome will be on Friday July 17th at Stafford Crematorium – family only. They are planning to hold a memorial service for Audrey Newsome next year both locally and at Keele.Re-opening our ChurchesYou will have seen in the news that churches are able to hold services again from this weekend. Our PCC will be meeting this week to discuss how we can safely open again for worship and when it would be best for our services to begin. At the moment we are holding services each Sunday on the telephone and via ZOOM. 9am on Sunday to join in a service on your telephone landline. 10am on Sunday by computer, tablet/iPad or iPhoneIf you haven't managed to join us yet do persevere, it would be so good to see and hear you- we have a practice session on Saturdays at 4pm and will very happily talk you through the process. Just ring Kathryn (822820) or Tina (823881) anytime. Also (using the same numbers) every evening at 9.30pm for Night Prayer On Tuesday mornings at 9.30am we have Morning Prayer.
St. Peter's will be open every day during daylight hours to visitors.You are very welcome to come in and sit or look around our beautiful church, which is heaped with history as well as being a quiet place for time of reflection and prayer.Please keep in touch with Rev Kathryn, Rev. The following appointments have been announced:Fr. Richard Peers has been appointed as Sub Dean of Christ Church Oxford University. We are delighted to hear this news and congratulate Richard though he and Jim will be sorely missed by us all and in Norbury in particular.Revd Mark Bridgen (former vicar of our benefice) has been appointed as Team Rector of the newly formed West Sevenoaks Team Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester. Mark hopes to take up the appointment at the end of July.
