"This little church is nearly roofed in and will be ready for dedication when the Bishop comes to us on October 6th." (September 1907)

"The Bishop of Lichfield found he was unable to visit us on October 6th as arranged but he comes to dedicate the Mission Church of St. Mary and St. John Berkhamsytch at 3 o'clock on Saturday October 19th."

"The Bishop dedicated this little church on Saturday October 19th at 3.0 p.m. A heavy thunderstorm came just before three but fortunately passed off to let the clergy and choir come from the School to meet the Bishop at the door. In spite of the weather the Church was full and many were not able to get in."  (November 1907)
