We are asking God to guide us on our journey in developing our Benefice.
Please pray for:
our benefice, our individual churches, PCCs and the Team Council.
that God shares with us the journey he has mapped out for our Benefice.
that He shows us the way forward in identifying what we need from a new priest.
that God continues to heal the hurt we feel from the past.
that God helps to build a vision of a One Church Family across our many Parishes.

We have a Special Praise Together Service of Holy Communion and Prayer on 11th May at the Village Hall, Stowe by Chartley.
As you will be aware, Mid-Trent Churches are currently on a journey which is proving to be an interesting time for all of us as we seek God’s guidance in anticipation of a new Priest in Charge.
The reality is that this journey may be short or long – but thankfully, that is in God’s hands.
In the meantime, as one big church family, we need to seek God’s guidance in how we move forward together on this journey.
To quote Paul writing in Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 and 7:
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So, in agreement with Archdeacon Megan Smith, we have decided to hold a time of prayer especially for this journey. We will have the assistance of a leader from another Church to help us and give us guidance.
We really want to encourage as many of you to attend as possible. So, to that end, we are holding the 11th May Praise Together Service in Stowe by Chartley Village Hall.
You are asked to bring some lunch for after the service, and then we will have a time of Prayer.
We expect that this time will run no later than 3-00pm, and please remember:
- you can come along to just the service
- stay for lunch if you want to and then leave
- or stay and enjoy this special time of Prayer as well, leaving whenever you want or need to.

This is a really important and exciting time for all our Churches, and we ask that as many of you as possible join us as we seek God’s will in our Benefice Family. Thank you.

Bishop Matthew will be holding a Confirmation Service at All Saints’ Church, Sandon on Sunday 8th June. Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized. We already have two candidates but would love to have more. If any adults or children/young people 10 years of age or above would like to be confirmed or if you want to find out more about what is involved, please contact Rev’d Vivienne Starkie or the Churchwarden for your Parish.
Don’t worry if you are not yet baptised; we can arrange that too. We look forward to hearing from you.

We try to make our church services as friendly as possible. Please don’t worry about getting things ‘wrong’. Even if they notice, people won’t mind. At Communion services, everyone is equally welcome, whether you feel able to share the bread and wine or prefer just to stay seated for a time of quiet. Finally, we are interested in you, not what you are wearing.
