Seathwaite: Holy Trinity

Welcome to the homepage for Holy Trinity church, Seathwaite. The church is renowned for its beautiful surroundings and its connections with William Wordsworth's Duddon Sonnets, and the Revd Robert Walker ('Wonderful' Walker).

We hope that you will find our church a helpfully contemplative or prayerful environment during the national mourning for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The faith which motivated and sustained her, which was firm and effective yet gentle and quietly stated, has been a source of inspiration for a great many of us. Books of condolence are available at St Cuthbert's, Kirkby and St Mary's, Broughton, but all our churches are available for you so use. You should also feel free to contact our priest in charge through this website or otherwise, if you would like to reflect on any issues which this time of national grieving raises for you.

Our church is open at all times and you are very welcome to visit. There is currently a service in this church every 5th Sunday of the month, at 6pm. More frequent services are available in the nearby churches of St Mary, Broughton; St Cuthbert, Kirkby and St John, Ulpha.
