We would like to invite people in Battle to bring in a framed photo of loved ones or family involved in service in World War II. The frames will be displayed in the window sills of St Mary’s from 7th May for 2 weeks. Feel free to add a description of their service or how you are related.
On 6th May, we are holding our first poppy making workshop from 2-4pm in the Benedicta Whistler Centre. Feel free to come along and bring your knitting or crochet with you.
There will be a small poppy installation in the St Catherine’s Chapel from 7th May for two weeks.
On the day of the 80th anniversary of V.E. Day, 8th May, we will have our usual mid-week service at 10.30am with special prayers for the anniversary and following that we will hold two minutes of silence at 12 noon around the War Memorial.
We will join with the town as the beacon is lit in the evening on Caldbec Hill to commemorate the end of World War II.

Welcome to St Mary's Battle which is a Grade 1 Listed church of national historic importance, in the heart of Battle and 1066 country. It's a place of regular worship and community involvement with a history of almost 1000 years. As the parish and civic centre church we are at the heart and life of all that goes on in Battle and look forward to welcoming you. 

On a Sunday we have a 9.30am Parish Communion using Common Worship, an 11.15am Informal Service with Children’s Church and a 6pm Choral Evensong every other week. Do come and join us.
