Accessibility

An Accessible Toilet is located at the back of the Vicarage. Reached via a flat pathway from near the Lytch Gate on the church drive.
Also, a secondary route via shallow steps from the path leading up to the Church.

There is room for a few cars at the church door. Please only use it if you really need to as the turning space is limited.
Entrance through the Lych Gate. Be careful as the entrance is narrow.
If you have a particularly large vehicle or a top-box wheelchair carrier, there is an alternative entrance via the track signposted to the Masonic Hall. The gates are on your left - please call in advance if you need us to open them.

At the Pavilion opposite the church

The step into the church is about 100mm high. We have a ramp to assist wheelchair users. Please ask for assistance, especially if you don't have anti-tilt wheels.

The loop operates in the middle of the main part of the church. It is less effective in the side aisles.

Most service sheets are in 14 point type already.
Please ask for a larger print service sheet if you need one

Are welcome. As are other dogs.

We have members with dementia so we are used to welcoming other sufferers. If you or a relative have a particular need, do please contact us in advance.

Have a look at our history pages for more information. The simple but beautifully restored instrument retains its original bellows as well as having the electric blower.

The following are usually held:
1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays: BCP said Holy Communion at 8.00am
2nd Sundays: BCP Holy Communion at 10:30 am with hymns and sermon
4th Sundays: BCP Evensong at 5.30pm in Winter and 6pm in summer.

But it's Village not Cathedral! Choir on special occasions and when we hold a Benefice Service


Groups, Courses and Activities

The Benefice has a Youth Group meeting at Burwash. Please contact the Vicar for information.

We have a number of Home Groups. Please contact the Vicar for more information.

Run in conjunction with other local churches. Please contact us for details

We host a monthly Bereavement Friendship Group. It's non religious and open to anyone who has suffered a bereavement. 2nd Tuesday of the month, 10-12 at the Vicarage. Contact the Rector for more information.

Our Parents and Toddlers group meets at The Pavilion opposite the church form 10am to noon every Thursday. Just turn up!

We support the Heathfield Street Pastors. Please contact the Rector to learn more.


Help for Visitors

The Wheel Inn is on the A265, about half a mile from the turning to the church provides a full bar/restaurant meal service.
The Old Orchard nursery on the A265, adjacent to the turning to the church offers fabulous food and friendly service.
Petals , a large nursery on the A265, about 1 mile West from the village has a large café with a decked area overlooking the Rother valley. Again, excellent food and friendly service.
