The race is on to raise the funding for our new access project and so Hattie (7) lead the way by suggesting that the children organise a sponsored sleepover in the church.

We had eight children aged 4-13 gathered to spend the night sleeping on the floor in the church.  The chairs were moved aside as we all made up our beds for the night.  It was great to use the church audio visual for our own private cinema style viewing before we went to sleep.  

There was lots of sleeping- against all the odds one might have said- and they didn't wake the vicar until after 7am, so it was a nice quiet start to the day.

Amazingly the children did very well and raised over £400 for their sleep out- there was even talk of making it an annual event.
