Access Information

We are working hard on improving the accessibility of the church and hope to have our new fully accessible entrance finished by June 2024.

In the meantime, the entrance to the church is via two steps with a small hand rail and portable ramp.  Once inside the church, there is level access to the main body of the church.  We have a hearing loop installed and have a sound system.  The church has moveable chairs and there is usually already a space for two wheelchairs or pushchairs, but we can easily move chairs to make more space to accomdatoe where you would like to sit.

There are two steeps with a hand rail on both sides to the choir stall and vestry,  a short steep ramp sits next to these.  The altar rail is accessible this rail, please either kneel or stand to receive communion, we also always bring communion down int the congregation for those for whom this is easier.

The altar is on a raise dais which has no sloped access currently.

Our orders of service should be available as PDFs on the Order of Service page of this website, if screen reading is easier for you.  There should be large print (font 16) available, but if we have run out we can quickly produce one for you.  Currently we don't have any large print hymn books.

Until after June 2024, the only accessible toilet is in our church hall, this is accessible through the car park and up the sloped access to the left of the main entrance to the hall.  It can also be accessed through the vestry which has one small step between the hall and the church.

If you have any questions about access, please don't hesitate to get in touch, it is important to us that everyone is welcome and able to fully fulfil their vocation within church.  We want to use the gifts you have to offer and are happy to make whatever adjustments we can to enable that to happen.
