In May 2003 a major re-ordering was undertaken to provide a much needed Community Centre for South Portslade managed by the Community Association of Portslade (South) with an integral smaller St Andrew Church.
The smaller Church was officially re-opened in July 2004 by the Bishop of Chichester.
The three rooms for hire of the Community Centre were named after local benefactors and former members of St Andrew’s Church - Miss Avril Hunt, Miss Dorothy Gedye and Bishop Walter Baddeley.
In September 2013, St Andrew's status was changed to a "Chapel of Ease" and will only be used occasionally for religious services.
For more information on the groups that meet at the Centre and availability for hiring rooms for events, see the website of the :- South Portslade Community Centre
