We remember how, before his arrest, Jesus rode in triumph into Jerusalem on a donkey, with the crowds waving palms and shouting ‘Hosanna’.
We will start our service on the village green at Westhampnett where we will bless our palm crosses.
We will then process to St Peter’s Church for the Parish Eucharist.
Children are invited to come dressed as Disciples and take part in the procession.

The Procession will be followed immediately by the Palm Sunday Eucharist in which we give a Dramatised Reading of the Passion Gospel (the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion).

A celebration of Holy Communion with music. All are warmly welcome.
We remember how Jesus washed his Disciples’ feet at the Last Supper and we keep watch (as he asked his disciples to do in the Garden of Gethsemane) with a Vigil until midnight.

In a solemn and reflective service we remember Jesus’ crucifixion and death on the cross.

We light the New Fire of Easter in the Churchyard and joyfully carry the light into the church to celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter.
Join us for this wonderfully atmospheric service.

Alleluia, Christ is risen!
We share together the joy of Easter morning and our faith that Christ is risen from the dead.
This celebratory service of Holy Communion will include music and singing, and there will be an Easter Egg hunt for the children.
