St Michael’s has six bells, which are rung from the ground floor. The heaviest bell weighs 10 cwt. The bellringers are usually happy to welcome visitors, whether they are existing ringers or have never touched a bell rope in their lives. Anyone over the age of eleven, who wishes to learn, will be given full training and there is no need to worry because no-one is left alone until they can safely handle a bell by themselves.

Whilst we are now able to ring the bells for church services in a COVID-19 secure way, we have suspended our practices for the time being.
